Modern meets Rustic Bathroom

Our client approached us with the request to create a bathroom that was uncluttered and inviting, with a rustic but modern feel and a focus on creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

The main challenge of this project was that the bathroom was relatively small, so we had to be strategic in our design choices in order to create the illusion of more space. Despite that, we were up for the task and set out to create a bathroom that was both rustic and modern, while also making the most of the limited space.

Budget Friendly

We understand that renovations and updates can be expensive, and we want to make sure that our clients are able to achieve the bathroom design without breaking the bank.

After discussing the project with our client, we came to the conclusion that using the IKEA catalog would be the most affordable option. IKEA is known for its stylish and affordable furniture and home goods, and we knew that we could find a wide range of options to suit our client's taste and budget.

Inspiration

After some brainstorming and discussion, we came up with a plan to use cross peel tiles, white ceramic, and an olive sage color palette with a touch of black as the main pillars of the design.

The cross peel tiles were chosen for their unique texture and ability to add depth and interest to the walls. We decided to use white ceramic for the sink, toilet, and tub in order to keep the space bright and airy.

As for the color palette, we went with an olive sage color for the walls and accents, which we felt lent a soothing and rustic feel to the space. To add a touch of modernity, we incorporated black accents through the use of a black faucet and showerhead.

Details

In this particular project, we wanted to create a bathroom that felt rustic yet modern, and we knew that the choice of tiles would be crucial in achieving this balance.

After some consideration, we decided to go with cross peel tiles for this bathroom. Cross peel tiles are made from natural clay and are known for their unique texture and depth. They have a rustic, handmade feel that we thought would be perfect for a bathroom with a rustic aesthetic.

However, cross peel tiles are also versatile and can be used in a variety of design styles. We chose to use a monochrome touch, which helped to modernize the tiles and give them a more contemporary feel. We also incorporated other modern finishes such as a black faucet and black-framed mirror, which helped to balance out the rustic and modern elements.
